man arrested after truck crash killed 2 cyclists,injured 11 in arizona highway

PHEONIX- on sunday authorities announced the arreset of suspect connected with the crash that killed two bicyclists and injured 11 others in a phoenix suburb.

the police department of goodyear announced that Quintana-Lujan,26,is jailed on suspicion of two counts of manslaughter,three counts of aggravted assault,18 counts of endangerment and two counts of causing serious injury or death by moving violation.

according to police at about 8 a.m Quintana-lujan was driving a pickup truck hauling when the truck crshed into a group of bicyclists.saturday on the cotton lane Bridge,a busy highway in goodyear located about 19 miles west of phoenix.

according to police spokeswoman lisa berry Quintana-lujan stayed at the scene of the crash and was cooperating with authorities in their investigation.

the age and the names werten’t immediately available of the victims on sunday but berry said a woma bicyclists died at the scene and another victim died at hospital.police said one bicyclist remained in life-threatening condition,while several others were seriously injured.one of the bicyclists killed was resident of goodyear,while the other was visiting from out of state,according to police.

According to Berry”the Goodyear police department is deeply saddenes by this tragedy and extends condolences to the loved ones of the victims as well as to the cycling community and the whole”.
